Norway's RAGNAROCK FESTIVAL Cancelled

The organizers of the Ragnarock Festival, which was set to take place August 17-19 at the Valle Hovin Sports Arena in Oslo, Norway, have announced that the entire event has been cancelled. No reason was given for the cancellation.

Just two days ago (July 5),American/Norwegian melodic metallers KAMELOT announced that they were pulling out of the festival, claiming that they had "yet to receive a contract or deposits" for their appearance. In late June, W.A.S.P. and TWISTED SISTER also cancelled their participation in the festival. Other bands that were scheduled to appear at Ragnarock included ENSIFERUM, MASTERPLAN, GOTTHARD, HELLOWEEN, WITHIN TEMPTATION and VIXEN.
